ONE GIFT MORE (Czech Republic)

In the advent period, all goodwill people are given the opportunity to help poor children in a mission in the city of Ventanas

in southern Ecuador. In this place, six years ago, father Jan Koczy, a missionary, built a church first, then a dining hall with a center for local children, frequently coming from large families, to have a place to spend their spare time.

The help is in a form of buying paper angel with a name of a specific child, whom you decide to help.

There are three kinds of angels: health support for a month for US$3, school support for a month for US$5, or food for a week for US$6.50. This is widely known „adoption at a distance“. The angels are for sale on four advent Sundays after the Mass.

Till now, the following parishes joined the action: Velké Bíloviceand Silůvkyfrom the Brno Diocese and  Dobříš, Svaté Pole, Praha - Vinohrady, Praha - Lhotka, Praha - Prosek, Praha - Vršovice and Praha – Čakovicefrom  the Praha archdiocese. The last one is the organizer of the action.
